“Close Quarters” in the Official Selection of Screen.Dance Festival 2020 in Scotland.

Patricio’s latest short-film “Close Quarters” produced by Cachalote is parte of the official selection of the Screen Dance Festival 2020 in Scotland. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions this year the festival will be streamed in a special online screening room for the festival on 19 and 20th June.

Screen.Dance was originally started in 2016 by Simon Fildes and Peter Royston as “Perth Screen Dance” a screening programme connected to Perth Dance Festival,  Scotland. With the renovation of Perth Theatre in 2018 the festival was able to grow and become an event that encompassed artist talks and installations. The festival’s relationship to Threshold Artspace moving image collection at Horsecross has been a key component of the event in the past. Screendance is one of the major parts of the collection curated by Iliyana Nedkova. It is unique in the UK and rare in museum galleries internationally.

“Close Quarters” is described by the festival as “A work is expertly crafted and the screen design is exquisite in its colour and choreography. “Próximos” is highly recommended viewing.”

Screen Dance 2020 whole programme will be available online soon for the festival this 19 and 20th June 2020.
